| What The Tours Are All About In conjunction with Copper Mines Of Tasmania, The Tour offers a unique opportunity to safely visit a working underground mine. Traveling approximately 7 kilometers down the "Main Decline", you will have the experience of seeing and standing on ground that is untouched by the sun and older than the dinosaurs. You will see our Tasmanian built Elphinstone Loaders and Tamrock 50 tonne Dump Trucks which haul approximately 10.000 tonnes of rock containing Copper Ore, Gold and Silver to the Primary Crusher everyday. To add to to the wonderment of your underground visit, you will then journey to the Surface for a complete Tour of the Mining Lease. This includes breathtaking views of the surrounding wilderness that backdrops the enormous Head Frame that brings the Underground to the aboveground. This is only the second Mine in the world that offers such a unique and exciting opportunity |
