Lake Burbury

Lake Burbury Was formed on the King River in the early 1990's as part of Tasmania's Hydro Electricity Network. It has been well stocked with Trout and is now one of the best fishing spots about. The photo (Above Left) shows the southern end of the lake. This photo was taken from the Mt Jukes Road which leads to the Southern End of the Lake. This road is accessed by driving through Queenstown heading South following the valley. It is a No Through Road, and is about a 20 minute drive each way. The Photo (Above Right) shows the Middle Section of the Lake, taken from the sumit of Mt Owen.

The Two Photo's (Above) were also taken from the top of Mt Owen looking down onto Lake Burbury.
