This photo (Left), is taken at the top of the Pipeline that runs down the side of the mountain to the Power Station below on the banks of the Yolande River. The views from here are great. On a clear day, you can see the entrance to Maquarie Harbour in Strahan.
The photo (Right) shows a view where the wooden pipeline joins with the steel line that drops down to the Power Station.
In the photo (Left) can be seen the wooden pipeline with "A Few" leaks spraying the surrounding bush. I am told that one method use to fix this is by feeding a bag of "Sawdust" down the line. The sawdust is forced into the holes from inside, and blocks the smaller ones off.
This photo (Right) is of a section of the pipeline not far from the Dam. The rails on each side of the walking track are used to as tracks for a small "Rail Car" used by the maintenance crews working on the pipeline. These can be clearly seen in the photo above as well but are made of timber on that section.
This view (Left) is a photo of the walking track and pipeline near the dam. A section of the dam can be seen in the background.
